In early August 2023 I drove to the BMW Airheads Indiana Tech Day weekend in Crown Point, Indiana. The BMW Airhead Tech Day was being held at the home of the Indiana Airmarshal, and it was his 20th annual Tech Day. I had been to several other of his tech days, and there is always a great turnout. This year included a 20th anniversary cake. As always, there is work to be done on these classic vintage bikes. This year was no exception. The only work I needed done was some minor fairing repair on my lowers. I removed them and provided them to the Illinois Airmarshal who showed up. He was going to take them back to his shop and fix the cracks near the lower bolts so they wouldn't vibrate anymore. I'll pick them up from him at a later date. It was fun getting together with some like-minded BMW Airhead people. I was able to help out a little on some of the bikes. As you can see by the pictures, there's always a crowd willing to get their hands dirty, you just have to jump in. It's a good opportunity to ask questions since there is a lot of knowledge at these events. It was a great day riding and working on these bikes.
