Alberta (September) British Columbia
In mid-September 2024 I flew back to Canada to stay through the end of September before driving back home with my brother. I was up in Canada earlier in June and July, but flew home. I'm back! There is a Terry Fox Run in September that takes place every year in Canmore, Alberta and in fact in towns all across the whole country. It's a fund raiser for cancer in honor of Terry Fox. We usually volunteer to help set-up, take down, or traffic control. This year the route was created to minimize having to control traffic, good move on the coordinators part. We ended up driving to Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia for the Columbia Valley Show & Shine annual classic car show. We had been there several times before, but it is an incredible show. It was a beautiful sunny day and over 1,000 cars showed up. Considering the 'remote' location, people came from all over to show their cars. The end of September was the plan to make the long drive back home. The good news, and bad news, it was uneventful.
